Carole b. is an artist -activist living in Fontainebleau. She specialises in cutout, having mastered the art of assembling cutout paper using collage techniques, with realist works sculpted using a scalpel , while also making a name for herself in streetart using cut-out stencils and spray paint. Strength, dignity and resilience: Carole b. ’s works convey upbeat, inspiring values, highlighting charismatic persons such as Josephine Baker, Deddeh Howard, Simone Veil , Nelson Mandela, . . . . Her repertory is as personal as it is universal, mixing cultural references and pop art, history and anecdotes, glamour and good humour, to appeal the spectator, inviting him to reflect on the image of women in society.
